This is a limited-capacity, hands-on workshop specifically on Service Level Objectives (SLOs). We will work through examples and advanced use cases of Derived Columns, pushing the boundaries of what they can do. Finally, we will pull it all together by defining and creating SLOs. There will also be a live “Ask Me Anything” (AMA).

This session is 1.5 hours in duration and includes an instructor-led lecture and small group breakout sessions with a dedicated software engineer. You will get hands-on with the following topics:

  • Defining, creating, and testing SLIs with a Derived Column
  • Defining, creating, and monitoring your SLO
  • Error Budgets and Defining Burn Alerts
  • And other best practices

Attendee Prerequisite(s):

This workshop requires basic programming knowledge in at least one language: Java, Node.js, or Golang. Attendees should have prior experience delivering and/or operating production software.
